Kroger Gift Cards= Gas Savings
From Amazon to Macy's to dozens of restaurants in between, any time you shop the stores' expansive selection of gift cards, you earn 2x fuel points. But this holiday season, The Kroger Co. Family of Stores is sweetening the deal so you earn 4x fuel points for every $1 you spend on qualifying gift cards.* So between mid-November and early December**, if you buy $100 in gift cards, you'll receive 400 fuel points (which adds up to 40¢ off per gallon)!
And if you treat the cards like cash, the fuel points add up even faster. Buy gift cards in advance of your Black Friday, Cyber Monday or big holiday shopping trips, and use them like cash at your favorite stores and online retailers to save even more on fuel. This year, you can easily turn your holiday shopping into BIG savings at the pump.
Don't know about the fuel points programs at The Kroger Co. Family of Stores? Take a few minutes to review how they work:
EARN FUEL POINTS
There are three ways to accrue fuel points at the stores every day:
- Collect 1 fuel point for every $1 you spend on groceries*
- Receive 2 fuel points (or sometimes 4!) for every $1 you spend on eligible gift cards*
- Earn fuel points for every qualifying prescription you fill at your store's pharmacy**
REDEEM YOUR POINTS
At Kroger Fuel Centers, you can apply your discount in 100-point (or 10-cent) increments. Use up to 1,000 fuel points on a single fill-up to get $1 off per gallon, or save some rewards for later. The points you can redeem at participating Shell Stations varies by location.
TRACK YOUR POINTS
Your fuel point total is listed at the bottom of every receipt from your local Kroger-owned store. You can also track your points online at your store's website or through their mobile app — just register your loyalty card there!
I was provided with a discount coupon to use by Bzzagent in exchange for my promotion of this deal!

Kroger Skillet Meals
With all the crazy running around and shopping that surrounds the holiday season it is sometimes hard to get a hot and tasty meal on the table. Well Kroger has a line of skillet meals that go from freezer to table in 10 minutes and include delicious options like:
*Tuscan Style Penne
*Sausage Rigatoni
*Chicken or Beef Stir Fry
*Shrimp Lo Mein
*Chicken Fajitas
These were only $4.99 at Kroger and while it does say it provides 3 servings I would plan for it to only feed 2.
And to add to your quick and easy meal try the Kroger Garlic Bread (retail $1.99) which by the way also cooks in less than 10 minutes and is a huge loaf with more than enough for 4+. You can also pick up a bag of Krogers Salad Kits (retail $2.99) in Cesar, Cesar Light or House with Bacon. Everything you need is right in the bag.
So for a family of 4 (2 skillets, 1 garlic bread & salad kit) you will have less than $15 spent and only 10 minutes to prepare! I know I can spend more than 10 minutes in the fast food drive grabbing burgers for my family and this is way healthier for them.
I was provided the products featured for free from Bzzagent in exchange for my honest opinions.

OxiClean(TM) 2in1 Stain Fighter Liquid
OxiClean(TM) 2in1 Stain Fighter Liquid
I was given OxiClean 2in1 Stain Fighter Liquid to try for free from Smiley360. Overall my impression was kind of........So So
Did it whiten my whites? Not that I can tell
Did it get out anymore stains? I didn't have any real stains to try it on (Thank you kids & patients for that!)
Overall I kind of feel like the $8.94 for a 64oz bottle at Walmart could be spent better elsewhere.
GREENIES® Dental Chews
GREENIES® Dental Chews
Magnum recently got to try out the Greenies Dental Chews. These are quite pricey (in my opinion, $10.99 at Petsmart) and really not much different than any other cheaper price dental chew. Unless I find a awesome deal that can lower the price to my standards my poor pitiful furbaby won't be getting anymore.
FYI- Does he really look like he lacks anything? He get PLENTY of treats and is spoiled rotten.

52 Week Money Saving Challenge
So I saw a cool idea on Pinterest and I think I am going to try it starting tomorrow, (well actually I am going to add week 1 & 2 tomorrow so I will be finished by Black Friday 2014). You put money in a jar that corresponds with the week you are on like this....
And as you can see by week 52 you will have $1378! That would be on heck of a Christmas Shopping Fund or even a great way to get your emergency fund started.
